Apart from anything else it should give us plenty of form clues for next week’s big one – The Open – this year at Hoylake.
Ernie Els who has struggled to recapture top form since recovering from a knee injury tops the betting at a best priced 14-1.
We prefer compatriot Retief Goosen at 16-1 who won the event in 2001 and Jose Olazabal at a tasty 33-1.
