Poker bots. These are poker robots where a computer has been programmed to play and is used online. Presumably they are at their most effective in limit hold’em which can be played quite mechanically. They would be even more effective in limit Seven Stud as they would remember all the cards passed, whereas many players fail to do so.

Whether using them is cheating or unethical is unclear. But it is definitely against the rules. The online poker rooms go ferreting around in your computer to determine whether a program is being used. If they find you out, they sequester all your money that you have on deposit and there is no appeal.
