Happy New
Year to all readers.
There’s no
better time to review your betting strategy and rules – than the beginning of a
New Year – so for the year 2006 our experts have put together 6 GOLDEN BETTING
RULES – all with the aim of winning you more and losing less in 2006.
(1) Keep a record of ALL your bets.
Ideally in an Excel spreadsheet – it will help you understand what sports and
events you are best at – and most importantly keep a record of how much you win
or lose.
(2) Decide at the beginning of the day
which events you are going to bet in/on. Don’t let results later in the day
change this as this will inevitably mean you are starting to chase losses.
(3) Don’t make losing days worse. No one
can win every day and part of long term success is maximising winning days and
minimising losing ones.
(4) Always shop around for the best
value. Getting 9/4 instead of 2/1 makes a big difference if you do it many
times a year.
(5) Spread your risk – if you fancy two
horses in a race – split stakes.
(6) Don’t bet if you are low on funds,
tired, or stressed.
